ERASMUS MUNDUS MASTER PROGRAMME IN FLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT ПДФ Штампа Ел. пошта

In this two-year MSc Programme students will master the subject of integrated flood risk management while studying at four renowned universities across Europe. They will attain a broad vision of natural and man-made processes occurring in river basins and in coastal zones at different spatial and temporal scales, and develop an understanding of the current theory and practice relating to flooding and flood management.

The programme is open to students with a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in civil or environmental engineering, however students with degrees in geosciences, environmental sciences, limnology, oceanography, geography, geology or natural resources are also encouraged to apply. Erasmus Mundus Scholarship opportunities
Each year the European Community awards study grants for the Erasmus Mundus Master programmes. In order to ensure widespread participation in the Erasmus Mundus programmes some grants are reserved for candidates from specific countries, called  "window" countries. Candidates from one of these window countries have an increased chance of obtaining an Erasmus Mundus scholarship. Whilst, they are ranked just like any other eligible candidate, candidates from these window countries may be awarded a scholarship if they are among the best candidates. In addition, a specific window scholarship is awarded to the best remaining candidates from these specific countries.

Due to the number of applications from these countries being typically lower, means that there is a significantly increased chance for window country applicants to be awarded a grant.

This year, there are three window scholarships specifically reserved for residents from the following countries:

1.    "Western Balkans and Turkey": Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo
2.    "Southern Neighbourhood Countries": Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia and Occupied Palestinian Territory
3.    "Eastern Neighbourhood Countries": Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

Students from these window countries are therefore highly encouraged to apply. Deadline of application is: 26 January 2014. For more info about the programme and scholarship visit: http://www.unesco-ihe.org/frm
